Exhibitor History

Tony Schwartz
Boston, Massachusetts USA
Before devoting myself fully to photography I was an academic veterinary surgeon and immunologist. But as long as I can remember I have been involved in the visual arts. This started with drawing and has included clay sculpture, oil painting and film photography. Since 2003 my artistic passion has been photography, using digital capture and producing archival pigment prints. I produce color images, but in many cases have converted them to monochrome, or use infrared capture, when the tonality of a monochrome image would trump the importance of color. My photos are diverse in subject matter, gathered around the world, including land or seascapes, animals in the wild, and people from diverse cultures. I strive to record images in which a story is implied, and if living things are involved, the personality and story of the human or non-human subject come through. This has been especially true with my work with models, images of whom have been obtained in natural settings.

Upcoming Exhibits

After 99 Exhibitions we're taking a break.

Over the next month or two we are planning to do some work on our web site and better organize and advertise our inventory of fabulous prints we have been collecting. We also want to host a few more workshops and photographer community events.

Once we regroup, for our 100th exhibit, we are planning to host our 4th Champlain Valley Photo Slam Probably in November/December.

We really appreciate all the support we have received over the last seven years and queries from eager photographers about future exhibitions.

Stay tuned!
